Started the College of Arts & Commerce offering the two-year intermediate course

1956

Started offering one-year Pre-University course in Arts & Commerce

1957

  • The Mysore Education Society (MES) formally registered in Malleswaram
  • Teachers College established in Malleswaram 
1958

Introduced the PCM & PCB combinations at PU level

1962

Started Science combinations PCM & CBZ at Degree level

1969

  • Started Samskruta Vidya Mandira for Prathama, Kavya & Sahitya levels of training
  • MES Kishora Kendra (KK) School started at ‘Brahmi’ in Malleswaram (second campus) as a State Board un-aided Pre-primary school
1980

Primary section added to the MES KK School

1983

Started PG course in Mathematics at the MES Degree College

1985

High School started at MES KK

1990

Indological Library was established

1991

Started un-aided MES KK PU College at ‘Brahmi’

1993

Started Kalavedi to promote performing arts among students

1995

Rajajinagar campus ‘Vidya Vihara’ established and MES Teachers College shifted to that campus

1998

Composite Degree College bifurcated into independent, aided PU and Degree Colleges

2001

Rangashale’ set up to offer one-year diploma in dramatics

2002

Started Prof. MPL Sastry (unaided) PU College at Rajajinagar

2003

MES KK Public School (ICSE) started in Vidyaranyapura

2004

  • PG unit of Mathematics became a recognized research centre of Bangalore University in Applied Mathematics
  • Started PG course in Kannada
2005

  • Institute of Management (IOM) started at Rajajinagar with BCom, BBM/BBA courses
  • Started Prof. BR Subba Rao (un-aided) PU College at Vidyaranyapura
2006

  • PG unit of Kannada became a recognized research Centre
  • MES Teacher's College Accredited by NAAC(2nd Cycle) with 'A' grade
2015

MES ACS Degree College Accredited by NAAC(3rd Cycle) with 'A' grade

2016

Celebrated Diamond Jubilee & Founder's Day

2019

MES Institute of Management Accredited by NAAC(1st Cycle) with 'B++' grade

2022

MES ACS Degree College Accredited by NAAC(4th Cycle) with 'A' grade

2022

MES Rangashale affiliated to Dr. Gangubhai Hangal Music and Performing Arts University.
