MES (Mysore Education Society) College was started in 1956-57 as an intermediate college by five enlight­ened citizens Sri G.A.ACHARYA, Sri M.Chinnaswamy, Prof.M.P.L.Sastry, Prof B.R. Subba Rao and Smt. Vimala Rangachar. It is now a full fledged Degree college, P.G. Centre the mathematics and research center in applied mathematics.

From its humble beginnings 1956 as an intermediate college with only 69 students, MES ACS PU College has grown over the years into one of the state's premier institutions with a student strength of 1600 offering holistic and value-based education at affordable rates. In this time, the ACS PU college has also significantly enhanced the quality and quantity of both its academic offerings as well as its infrastructure.
