Former Principal’s Message

Mysore Education Society is a name for imparting value-based education since last 50 years in Bangalore. The aim and goal of the society is to transform the lives of people through their strongest instrument of education hence, the MES society disseminating education through a number of flourishing institutes. The MES Group of Institutions offers a wide variety of academic courses and programmes with a focus on the overall development of the students. MES Institute of Management was established in the year 2006-2007, has over the years , not only grown in strength, but also in infrastructure and academic excellence.

The best companies are searching for talented young individuals who have the skills to make a difference and we have such students. The connectivity was the issue and the result of this was the discovery of iStar which delivered specific training to meet the demands of corporate customers with structured recruitment services for trained manpower. We are proud that we could place about 40 students in different companies.

Creativity and criticality on the other hand is key to our understanding of what it means and what needs to be done to pave way for growth. This reminds the quote:

“The only way that we can live is, if we grow. The only way that we can grow is, if we change. The only way that we can change is, if we learn. The only way we can learn is, if we are exposed. And the only way that we can become exposed is, if we throw ourselves out into the open. Do it. Throw yourself.”- C joybell.C

Growth plans need to have staff engagement while also leading directly to improved student learning. As I reflect, the academic year comes to a close, and I want to focus on some key area of growth of this Institution- CIMA as a Value added programme.

Taking our students career to the next level

The CIMA (Chartered Institute of Management Accounts) examinations are recognized and respected in the business sector. Becoming a chartered management accountant can accelerate a student career and give a boost to their remuneration. It is a proven path to business success. Top CFOs, CEOs and management consultants are chartered management accountants.

Success in these examinations, combined with practical experience, qualifies one for membership of the Institute, the right to use the letters ACMA after ones name, and a fast track to rewarding career prospects! Our College is now associating with CIMA as Quality partner course providers for on and off campus students.

Teacher-student connection

Our duty is to encourage everyone in his struggle to live up to his own highest idea, and strive at the same time to make the ideal as near as possible to the truth.- Swami Vivekananda

The communication between the student and the teacher serves as a connection which provides a better atmosphere for a classroom environment. Of course a teacher is not going to understand every problem of every student in his or her classroom but will acquire enough information of those students who are struggling with specific tasks. There are sufficient indications that academic achievement and student behavior are influenced by the quality of the teacher and student relationship. The more the teacher connects or communicates with his or her students, the more likely they will be able to help students learn at a higher level and accomplish quickly.

Keeping this credo in mind, the College has conducted a special Counseling Programme for teachers to mould and shape their students by becoming their Mentors. Teachers are motivating guides behind every student.

College Life

While the social aspect plays a significant role in one’s collegiate experience, the activities performed by the College, I am sure, would have had a lasting impression on the students mind. The College conducted various events like a “Samanvita” a management exposition facilitating students to become motivated learners, Vivekananda’s 150th birth year celebrations and “Kannada Sirinudi” an inter collegiate programme, in addition to the literary events as part of our regular activities. College is more than fun and games and hence the importance of academics has never been over-looked and always occupies the centre stage in a student College life.

This College over the years has grown not only in strength and size but also in the levels of excellence. The College continues to set and strive to achieve the high standards of education. Towards these committed and sincere efforts to fulfill the vision of our college, let us therefore brace ourselves to our duties.

I wish you all the best for achieving greater success and scaling newer heights in your education and career ahead.

Wishing you all success
